Brian Vazquez MA
Brian Vazquez (he/him) is a clinical research coordinator at PolicyLab and Clinical Futures at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. In this role, he coordinates all clinical research activities within the scope of the Family Bridge Program protocols, a hospital-based, patient navigator intervention to improve access and quality of care for uninsured or Medicaid-enrolled children, including children in families who speak Spanish, Vietnamese and Somali. His primary responsibilities include facilitating instiutional review boards (IRB) processes, recruiting and educating participants, conducting interviews, analyzing data, and delivering program interventions.
Throughout his professional career, Mr. Vazquez has worked in education and administration, research and writing, and the translations and interpretation industry. Some of his work experience involve working as a co-instructor for an intensive English and developmental psychology course at Bethlehem University in the West Bank and as an English as a Second Language (ESL) instructor to culturally and linguistically diverse adult learners at a non-profit organization in Philadelphia. Additionally, Mr. Vazquez has worked in the translations and interpretation field for eight years. His master's thesis investigated the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on immigrant Latino ESL adult learners in Philadelphia.
Mr. Vazquez holds a Bachelor of Art in Psychology with a minor in religion from La Salle University and a Master of Art in Social Sciences and Education and Society Certificate from The University of Chicago.
