PolicyLab op-ed featured in The Hill and research cited in The New York Times
PolicyLab's Kathleen Noonan wrote an op-ed, along with other researchers, highlighting their findings in a recent Health Affairs article. The op-ed argues that while preserving CHIP should be an essential priority for Congress, there are several related Affordable Care Act (ACA) provisions in need of federal attention, including uneven state pediatric benefit standards, gaps in subsidies for purchasing marketplace plans and the magnitude of deductibles and other out of pocket expenses for children’s health care for low-income families in marketplace plans.
The research findings from the Health Affairs article were also cited in a New York Times article entitled Health Law Helped Adults. Now, What About Children?
