Join Us for Two Global Teen Health Week Events
March 18-24 is the first-ever Global Teen Health Week! To celebrate, we’ve planned a few special events that we hope you’ll join us for:
-
A Twitter chat on teen mental health; March 21 from 2- 3 p.m. ET
Join PolicyLab (@PolicyLabCHOP), Moms Rising (@MomsRising) and Young Invincibles (@YoungInvicible) to discuss the growing behavioral health crisis among our nation’s adolescents and steps that policymakers, providers and community leaders can take to help young people who need it most. Use #WellnessWed when tweeting to stay looped into the conversation. -
A screening of the documentary “Let’s Talk About Sex” and panel discussion; March 22 from 5:30-8 p.m. at CHOP’s Roberts Center for Pediatric Research
This 2009 documentary takes a revealing look at how American attitudes towards adolescent sexuality affect today’s teenagers. Following the screening, a panel of leading experts on adolescent sexual and reproductive health at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and University of Pennsylvania will discuss key themes and ideas from the film and how they relate to current issues facing various adolescent populations. You can find more information and RSVP here; you won’t want to miss this exciting event!
In addition, make sure to check out our blog throughout the week for posts on a range of teen health-related topics written by experts at PolicyLab and CHOP.
